Fluke 355 True RMS Clamp Meter, 2000 A
The Fluke 355 True-RMS AC/DC Clamp Meter, 2000A AC/DC is the tool of choice for high current clamp-on amp meter measurements. The extra-wide jaw easily clamps around large conductors, typically found in high-current applications. The extra rugged design and CAT IV 600V, CAT III 1000V ratings add an extra element of user protection when taking high-powered measurements; it also takes accurate peak measurements using the in-rush current mode, which is ideal for motors and inductive loads. Finally, the 355 measures voltage and resistance, making it an exceptionally versatile tool for utilities, electrical contractors, and industrial service technicians.
Confidently take reliable readings with the Fluke 355 AC/DC True-rms Clamp Meter – the tool of choice for high-current clamp-on amp meter measurements up to 2000 A. The extra-wide jaw easily clamps around large conductors, typically found in high-current applications and the extra rugged design has an extra element of user protection when taking high-powered measurements.
Industrial plants and large facilities often have equipment and installations that draw greater than 1000 A. As with other current measurements, it is not practical to disconnect the equipment to make a series of current measurements. The ability to check that an expensive system has been installed correctly, troubleshoot large loads, and make accurate measurements on UPS and Variable Frequency drives with noisy loads is also essential. In industrial settings, compliance with NFPA 70E safety standards, while making measurements, is critical. Fluke has addressed this by designing this product to meet CAT IV 600 V and CAT III 1000 V ratings.
Accurate peak measurements can be taken using the in-rush current mode, ideal for motors and inductive loads. Additionally, the Fluke 355 measures voltage to 1000 V DC and 600 V AC (True-rms) and resistance to 400 k ohms with a continuity beeper, allowing utility technicians, electrical contractors and industrial service technicians to perform multiple tests with only one tool.
