Fluke 8846A Precision Digital Multimeter
The Fluke 8846A precision digital multimeter is a high accuracy meter that provides industry-leading value for bench or systems applications including manufacturing test, research and development, and service. Designed for easy integration in automated test systems, the 8846A meter emulates several legacy bench DMMs, and features input terminals on both the front and rear of the instrument to simplify connections.
The 8846A has a large, bright dual display that enables users to measure two different parameters of the same signal from one test connection and view the results in graphic or numeric format. With graphical display modes including TrendPlot paperless chart recording, statistics and histograms, users can analyze data in real time for troubleshooting of signal quality issues such as drift, intermittants and stability.
Both the 8845A and 8846A meters are equipped with serial, IEEE-488 and Ethernet interfaces, and provide multiple drivers to help ensure compatibility with existing or new standards. The 8846A has improved accuracy over the 8845A, as well as the ability to measure temperature and capacitance, and a USB device port allowing users to save measurement results to a USB memory drive for later analysis on a personal computer.
The included software, FlukeView Forms Basic enables you to document, store and analyze individual readings or series of measurements, then convert them into professional looking documents. You can transfer data points from your meter to your PC and use the standard, non-customizable forms to display your readings in table or graphical form. For a larger array of forms or to customize your forms you can upgrade the software.
Features
This multimeter possesses the precision and versatility to handle your most demanding measurements, on the bench or in a system. It performs the functions you would expect to see in a multifunction DMM, including measuring volts, ohms, and amps. Basic V DC accuracy of up to 0.0024 %, 10A current range, and a wide ohms range give you an unbeatable combination of measurement capability. You can also use it to measure temperature, capacitance, period, and frequency. Extend the meters’ utility even more with their graphical display modes, including Trendplot™ paperless recorder mode, statistics and histograms — features you won’t find on other multimeters.
